Greenway Cleanway Day Oct 21, 2017

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for another Greenway Clean-Way Day on Oct 21st, at 9 AM. Invite your friends, neighbors and their kids to come out and volunteer. 

Community service participation letters will be provided to any youth who request it. 

All the equipment is provided, all we need is you to come down and pitch in!

Meet on Greenway at one of these locations: 

  1. Dead End-bottom of 209 th St.
  2. Bell Blvd. overpass 
  3. Springfield Blvd. overpass
  4. Kingsbury Ave. & Grand Central Pkwy. service road (end of Alley Pond apts)

Thanks to our friends, Father John J. Murray Knights of Columbus Council at American Martyrs Church, Bayside, Queens and the NYC Partnership for Parks for arranging this wonderful community event!

Greenway Cleanway Day Oct 15, 2016

 

Hi Everyone,

The local Knights of Columbus are sponsoring another Greenway Clean-Way Day on April 18th, at 9 AM. Invite your friends, neighbors and their kids to come out and volunteer. The kids will get community service hours for helping make their community a nicer and cleaner place. The Knights will provide the necessary paperwork for the kids to take back to their schools. 

All the equipment is provided, the Knights and the Parks just need you to come out and help out.

Come out and Vote April 12-19th to repave the Motor Parkway

There will be a vote to allocate $300,000.00 to repaving the Motor Parkway on Sunday April 12- Sunday April 19th, as part of the Participatory Budgeting process. This vote will not extend the Motor Parkway but will help rehabilitate the section that is currently set aside as a greenway.

The vote is open to anyone 16 years of age or older who lives NYC Council District 23. (If you're not sure if you live in District 23, you can check this link.
